External Spray Cork in Bath
A breathable, flexible and pre-coloured cork finish for suitable exterior render, brick and masonry backgrounds.
The problem
Exterior coatings rely on sound preparation
Weathered, cracked or poorly prepared exterior surfaces cannot simply be covered and forgotten. Loose render, moisture entry points and unsuitable previous coatings can undermine any new finish.
The first stage is always to assess the existing substrate, access, details and preparation requirements.

The right solution
A flexible cork finish after proper preparation
External SprayCork is applied as a thin, textured cork-based finish over a sound and suitably prepared background. It is vapour permeable, flexible and available as a coloured surface.
It is a specialist exterior finish with its own benefits; it should not be confused with a thick external wall insulation system.
- Breathable exterior finish
- Flexible coating for suitable backgrounds
- Pre-coloured decorative appearance
- Weather-facing surface protection
- Assessment and preparation included in the specification
Where it fits
Properties and areas this can suit
- Sound existing render
- Suitable brick and masonry backgrounds
- Properties needing a refreshed textured finish
- Walls where vapour permeability matters
- External details that can be prepared and protected correctly
Honest advice
The cause still matters
SprayCork cannot stabilise a loose or defective substrate by itself. Repairs, moisture entry points and compatibility with previous coatings must be resolved before application.

Questions homeowners ask
Common questions about external spraycork insulation
What is external SprayCork?+
It is a thin cork-based exterior coating applied over a suitably prepared background to create a flexible, breathable and pre-coloured finish.
Can it go over any existing render?+
No. The existing render, brick or masonry must be sound and compatible. Hollow, loose or moisture-damaged areas need suitable preparation or repair first.
Is it the same as thick external wall insulation?+
No. A thin spray-applied cork coating should not be described as performing like a thick conventional insulation system. Its benefits and limitations are different.
Does the finished colour need painting?+
SprayCork is normally selected as a coloured finish, subject to the chosen product and specification. We confirm the appearance before work starts.
What affects the cost?+
Access, scaffold needs, wall area, substrate condition, repairs, detailing and the chosen finish all affect the estimate.
